Lace up your sneakers and rally your running crew – it’s time for Tempe Checkpoints! Join us at The Shop Beer Co. in Tempe for an epic hour-long adventure around town. Collect raffle tickets at cool local spots, then finish strong with a post-run celebration at The Shop. Enjoy tasty brews, delicious eats, and a chance to win some awesome prizes! Let’s run, raffle, and raise a glass together!

May the Tacos Be With You!

May 6 is the day after Cinco De Mayo, and two days after May the Fourth (be with you) so we’re theming this month’s Checkpoints as Tacos & Star Wars! Get creative with a costume, shirt, hat, etc! An extra prize will be given to the best costume!

How it works

• Arrive at The Shop at 5:30pm and get checked in.

• The Checkpoints map gets revealed at 6:00pm.

  • If you sign up ahead of time, the map will get emailed to you at 4:30pm!

• Run to as many Checkpoints as you can in an hour and collect raffle tickets at each one.

• Get back to The Shop by 7:00pm for the raffle!

• Win prizes and enjoy some beers and delicious food!

• Did we mention that it’s FREE to participate?

Some rules

• Obey all traffic laws as you run from Checkpoint to Checkpoint

  • There is no set route and we don’t close streets for this, so stick to the sidewalks, crosswalks, and follow all pedestrian traffic laws!

• No scooters, bikes, skateboards, or other “vehicles”

  • This is a running event! Get from Checkpoint to Checkpoint on your own two feet!

• Parking is tricky! Plan ahead!

  • There is street parking all around The Shop and a parking garage by Tempe Center for the Arts. Plan ahead and follow all posted parking rules! Ride-share is also highly encouraged!

• Have fun and be respectful!

  • This is a fun, social running event! Be courteous and kind to all your fellow runners and humans throughout the event!
